Class – Meditation

Establishing a meditation practice may seem daunting!
“It’s too hard.”, “I can’t meditate.”, “My mind races too much.”, “I can’t sit still for that long.”
But meditation is a practice! It is not hard, and you don’t have to quiet your mind to meditate.
The benefits of meditation are many, and studies have shown that even 3 minutes of meditation can have a positive impact on your health and actually slows shrinkage in the brain.
Our teacher Cindy Swienton will discuss benefits of meditation, breathing techniques, and explore mindfulness. We’ll also cover how mediation and breathing affect disease.
And what is the best meditation? The one that you do!
We’ll learn the basics so we can walk away and be ready to start our own (very simple) meditation practice.
The class will have a teaching component, plus a cooking demo. It’s best to participate in-person, however Zoom is available upon request. Please email: email@example.com after purchasing your ticket.
